Fantastic game, had a lot of fun! Great job :)

Beautiful, dense game. It's perfectly crafted

This was a great game to play. I loved the story and world that was made. The small moments of horror were also good as some of it gave me goosebumps. The music and sounds were also great. I also like the fact you put in a booklet with character and world lore in it. I give this game a 5/5 can't wait for the project to be finished and release.

This is such a good game.

It caught my eye from the start and i gotta tell you,it didn't dissapoint.

I love the idea and the whole concept of the game,it's very nicely placed and the graphics are very good,it isn't too long,an hour of playtime is quite good,it's a perfect balance between gameplay and story. It's a little horror but very good.

The cutscenes are awesome and it surprised me at first because i didn't expect any cutscenes.

I'd love to see this game on steam sometime.

Overall this is a perfect game 10/10 for me and I strongly recomend it to anyone who's looking for a good horror story  game!

This was awesom, I want to save the residents so much but I'm just powerless to do anything. It's like getting concrete straight into my veins, plus my state was playing siren tests today and it gave it a 100% immerion.

This game is giving me a lot of idea for my future game i love it

This was an incredible experience! A real step above others in atmosphere, music, and especially lighting! We couldn't get over how impressive it was. What a sense of immersion! Oozing with style. 10/10 and I can't wait to see what you do next!

Hey, this game was great! Loved the ramping up of tension and the feeling of being powerless to do anything during the apocalypse but watch. The graphics were just perfect for this kind of story too. Very much looking forward to more games in this series.

I was seriously blown away with how well done this game was! Amazing job all around and can't wait to see what you make in the future!

Thank you so much for your game! God knows: creating an atmosphere in the game is sometimes beyond the power of huge companies! There is something devilishly appealing in the fact that, despite realizing what is happening, still continue to act.

This game is just brilliant!

Is the name an Electric Wizard reference?

I enjoyed the game, it was very creepy and I appreciated that there was no jumpscares

It's been a while since I played something directly from Itch.io

A great choice without a doubt

I had to make an itch account just to leave a comment on this specific game. It's incredible, genuinely seems so high quality for a game made by only a few people, I really hope you guys keep making games like this one.

Aww man, I aprreciate it! We definately will not stop here

Also, is the game's title a reference to a song by Electric Wizard?

This game is simply AMAZING, especially concidering that it was released for free. It really does feel like a ton of effort was put into it . I love the graphics and especially the eastern block aestetics. The story is great too. The game's world does indeed feel alive.

The idea to use radio transmissions to advance the story is a wonderful one. It took me back to my childhood, when I would use my grandmother's VEF radio with lots of frequencies, hoping to find something interesting.

One question I have to ask, was the game partially inspired by The Cipher book by Kathe Koja? Parts of the story and atmosphere seem similar. Especially the hole in the apartment and hand thing.

Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear that the game resonated with you on a somewhat personal level

Nope, it's the first time I'm hearing about this book, but maybe I should look into it if you say the vibes check out.

would love this to be adapted into a TTRPG

Man, this game was so good! Please make more, I want to know how more about the backstory!

First time actually playing a game like this and dude it was so good?!, i've never actually enjoyed a game this much before, kind of sad that there's only 2 endings but honestly it just makes the game even cooler.

Absolutely loved it, a pity there's only 2 endings since i wanted to find out more :D. I look forward to seeing more games set in Funeralopolis world!

I just finished the game with both endings and it was absolutely incredible! The visual style and sound design are beautifully atmospheric, and the ending(s) have me incredibly curious as to where this story will go in future games

This was incredible!!

really??? is it good

Yes I absolutely recommend, such a unique gem. I streamed it on discord for my friends and we all enjoyed this very much

Hi! I like the atmosphere very much, but got stuck at the very beginning for like two hours =). I've listened to the radio only after I walked around the apartment and clicked every hotspot. So, when I finally listened to the radio, I didn't know what to do next, I re-listened every station, re-read all the texts, watched the peephole and the clock multiple times, I got no idea that you have to click on the stove again and get different reaction =). Maybe you could add just one line, like, 'I'm feeling hungry' after listening to the radio? Thanks!

Hi, sorry to hear that you got stuck :(

There actually is a message about the dinner that is shown after listening to the second radio broadcast. Thank you for bringing this up nevertheless, I'll add more texts pointing towards the objective

Thank you! Maybe I accidentally fast-forwarded through it by clicking LMB. Just as suggestion: maybe show this message after you went away from the radio, not at the radio interface?

absolutely loved peering into this world, so i'll defo be looking forward to your future projects. great stuff !

Me ha gustado mucho, la ambientación y la historia son bastante buenas. Buen trabajo.

I really liked it, the setting and the story are pretty good. Nice job.

Goog game! Nice atmosphere

Good game :D

GAMEPLAY PT-BR

It's not often I write reviews - I tend to struggle to keep focus and translate my thought into words. But this game.. I need to say something about it.

First of all, Funeralopolis made me feel like I was actually the protagonist; that it was my home and where I had my daily routine. I felt the fear of the possible consequences of the whole situation - how my actions would affect it.

There's a relatively eerie part in the game that made me uncomfortable and nervous, despite it just being a game. But the atmosphere, the dead silence and lack of movement made the whole scene so nightmarish that I struggled to process it; even doubting whether or not it was "real" in the game.

I'm not sure how many endings the game has but I've gotten two different - they're both interesting but one is way creepier.

Also, the graphics and art direction is on point and works perfectly with the whole Eastern European vibe.

There's a lot more I could say about Funeralopolis but I just want to say that it has been one of the greater game experiences this year and I can't wait to see what else is in store from BananaDevJeff.

Thank you.

Thank you for all the positive words ♥ It really means a lot to hear this, especially when you had to go out of your way to write it

There are only two endings, both depend on the only choice in the game so I still consider the game to have a linear structure.

I really want to make more games expanding on the Funeralopolis world, it makes me so happy to know that people feel invested enough to be interested in seeing more of it!

Thank you for creating an interesting game!
I hope you'll succeed in expanding the world of Funeralopolis so I get to revisit it some day.

I saw just a snippet of the game's opening on Youtube and sought this out from that.  This is genuinely stellar work. The artstyle, the atmosphere, the creeping dread as things get worse...

I want to see more of this setting.  I want to learn what happened with the other residents, how things progressed after the Catastrophe beyond the snippets of info in that pdf.  I'm genuinely fascinated with this world and I hope you'll make more.

I'm glad that you decided to check it out for yourself ♥

Oh yeah, there definately will be more games from the series!

i love the artstyle so muchhh!!! Also the world building and design, i hope u have more games moving forward!!

this Game Really nice Feels like be HL2 beta
